Zenyatta half-sister catalogued for Keeneland November

A HALF-SISTER to US Horse of the Year Zenyatta and by Henrythenavigator will be offered at the 2011 Keeneland November Sale by Select Sale

"We are excited to be given the opportunity to sell such a jewel," Keeneland manager Andrew Cary said. "This filly is the complete package, possessing one of the most desirable pedigrees on the planet, as a half sister to a living legend and one of the greatest racemares in the history of American racing."

The weanling filly, who is managed for a private owner by Dermot Farrington Bloodstock, is also a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Balance (Thunder Gulch), the dam of last year's Keeneland September yearling sale-topper by A.P. Indy, who sold for $US4.2 million.

Zenyatta (Street Cry – Vertigineux by Kris S.) won 19 of her 20 starts earning $7.30 million. Her 13 Group 1 victories included the Breeders' Cup Classic and Breeders' Cup Ladies' Classic.

She is currently carrying her first foal by leading sire Bernardini.

Her dam Vertigineux has a two year-old Bernardini filly named Eblouissante in training with Zenyatta's trainer John Shireffs, as well as a yearling filly by Henrythenavigator

Henrythenavigator (Kingmambo) won the English and Irish 2000 Guineas, St. James's Palace Stakes and Sussex Stakes. He shuttles between Coolmore's Ashford Stud in Kentucky and Coolmore Australia at Jerrys Plains in NSW.
