ZEHOORR, a 5-year-old unraced Storm Cat mare in foal to Tiznow, topped day one of the two day Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's 2010 Fall Mixed Sale in Florida when selling for $250,000 to Rustlewood Farm.

Consigned as part of a complete dispersal for Westbury Stables by Summerfield as agent, Zehoorr is out of the Grade 1 Santa Monica Handicap heroine Nany's Sweep, and is a half sister to the Canadian Grade 3 winner She's Indy Money. Her previous foals include a yearling filly by Bernardini who realised $60,000 at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale last month to Steven Young and a filly foal by Indian Charlie.

The highest priced foal of the day was $70,000 for a colt from the first crop of Grade 2 Illinios Derby winner Cowtown Cat out of the West By West mare She Did Tell. Consigned again by Summerfield as Agent, the colt was purchased by Windridge Farm. He is a half brother to the Stakes winning and Grade 2 Nashua Stakes runner-up Thank You Philippe.

Overall statistics for day one showed 163 horses selling for a total of $2,572,600 which compared with 132 horses totalling $1,467,900 at the equivalent sale last year. The average of $15,783 was up 42 per cent compared to $11,120 in 2009, whilst the median price of $7,500 was a 25 per cent rise from $6,000 a year ago. The clearance rate rose to 64 per cent compared to 59 per cent on this day last year.
