BALADA SALE wins Argentine 1,000 Guineas

Balada Sale has been bought by Katsumi Yoshida for an undisclosed fee


Yoshida snaps up Argentina's leading lady

BALADA SALE, Argentina's leading three-year-old filly, who has won five of her six starts to date, including the Group 1 Gran Premio and Group 1 Gran Premio Polla de Pontrancas, has been purchased privately by international agent Emmanuel de Seroux on behalf of top Japanese breeder Katsumi Yoshida of Northern Farm for an undisclosed price.

The Haras Vacacion's homebred who won the Gran Premio by 11 lengths, will now join Mike de Kock and be aimed at the Dubai Carnival meeting.

She is by the leading Argentinean sire Not For Sale, whose best progeny include the multiple Group-winner Asiatic Boy, a horse that was also successful in Dubai for Mike de Kock.

Balada Sale, is the third winner out of La Balada, herself a winning three-year-old in Argentina. She is also responsible for the Argentinean Group 2-winning filly Liriope.
