York bonus winner
looks set for better things

MICK Channon looks to have a smart youngster on his hands in Noor Zabeel, who made it second time lucky when taking the 6f maiden at York on Thursday by two lengths from Apostle.

The race was worth £7,447 to the winner but owner Jaber Abdullah can also look forward to receiving a £10,000 Racing Post Yearling Bonus.

Bred by Stephen D Peskoff in the US, Noor Zabeel was purchased by Gill Richardson on behalf of Abdullah for 50,000gns at Book 1 of last year's Tattersalls October Sale. By Elusive Quality, he is a half-brother to three winners including the Listed-placed Film Editor and is out of Brave The Storm, a Storm Cat daughter of 1986 champion American two-year-old filly El Rabab.
