Yazamaan first son of Galileo to stand in Peru

SHADWELL Stable' homebred Yazamaan, winner of his initial two starts at Newmarket and Salisbury at two for trainer John Gosden and jockey Richard Hills, will become the first son of Galileo to stand in Peru during the 2010 southern hemisphere season.

Yazamaan was recently purchasedby a group of Peruvian breeders headed by Lelio Balarezo's Haras Gina Santa Rosa, the leading breeder in Peru.

A five-year-old British-bred out of a sister to the dam of English Group 3 winner Evasive, Yazamaan´s grandam is European Highweight and French classic winner East of the Moon, a half sister to leading sire Kingmambo, Irish Group 3 winner and sire Mingun, French Group 3 winner and sire Miesque´s Son and stakes winner Moon Is Up.

Campaigned in England and the United States by owner-breeder Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Yazamaan won two of 11 career starts.
