Yahrab another stakes-winner for Dalakhani

YAHRAB capped a brilliant year for his sire Dalakhani by winning the Listed Churchill Stakes over 1m2f on the LingfieldPark Polytrack.

Bred by Swettenham Stud out of Loire Valley, an unraced half-sister to Arc de Triomphe winner Carnegie, Yahrab was a 55,000gns yearling purchase for Rabbah Bloodstock at Tattersalls in October 2006.

Owned by Saif Ali and trained by Clive Brittain, this was the colt's fourth career win but his first piece of black-type.

Dalakhani has enjoyed a fantastic year, siring the Irish Oaks heroine Moonstone and St. Leger and Breeders' Cup winner Conduit. His results have earned him a visit from Zarkava next year.
