Katsumi Yoshida secures $800,000 Perfect buy
Grade 1 winner Wickedly Perfect became the top lot during the opening session of the Keeneland January horses of all ages sale when she sold Katsumi Yoshida's Northern Farm in Japan for $800,000.
“I got a call from Mr Yoshida,” said Naohiro Hosoda, who signed the ticket for Wickedly Perfect. “I thought she was the best, and he sounds happy.”
Wickedly Perfect, a three-year-old daughter of Congrats, won the 2010 Darley Alcibiades at Keeneland and was offered as racing or broodmare prospect by Three Chimneys Sales, agent.
“We were very happy,” said Three Chimney’s president, Case Clay. “I think she probably would have brought more three years ago, but I think we all have to get to the point where we stop thinking about 2007 and start thinking about 2011 and building it back up.”
