Well-connected stores on offer at DBS Spring Sale

A HALF-SISTER to the high-class Wishfull Thinking is among the highlights of the DBS Spring Store Sales, which takes place on May 29 - 31.

DBS have catalogued 126 lots for the sale, a significant reduction from the 217 catalogued in 2011. Of those 217, 178 made it to the ring and 122 were sold for a total of £1,779,000. The average was £14,582 and proceedings were topped by a Shirocco half-brother to Arcalis who was sold to Harold Kirk and Willie Mullins for £80,000.

Cobhall Court Stud offers the half-sister to Wishfull Thinking, a three-year-old who is from the first crop of St Leger hero Scorpion. Other eye-catching three-year-olds on paper include a brother to high-class hurdler Amaretto Rose, a sister to Grade 1-winning staying hurdler Mighty Man and a Sassanian half-brother to the classy Poquelin.

All Things Rural sends through a Grape Tree Road half-brother to the Grade 1-winning chaser Ashley Brook while among the two-year-olds catalogued is a Mount Nelson half-sister to leading juvenile hurdler Grumeti.
