Cara's Request strikes
for well-travelled sire

GRADE 1 winner Urgent Request gained his first winner in Britain and Ireland on Wednesday when the Australian-bred Cara's Request justified his 4-7f starting price in the 1m maiden at Nottingham.

Bred by his owner, Stewart Aitken, Cara's Request was conceived during Urgent Request's time at Eldon Park  Stud in Australia. The grey son of Rainbow Quest, who landed the Grade 1 Santa Anita Handicap and Group 3 Rose Of Lancaster Stakes for Juddmonte, entered stud at Flag Is Up Farms in California in 1998 from where he shuttled to Australia.

He was transferred to Haras des Chartreux in 2006 where he stood the past season for €1,500.

From eight crops of racing age, Urgent Request is the sire of three stakes winners.
