Casey Jones (Oscar - Aborfield Lady (Over The River))

Christmas 2008 has proved to be a fruitful period for Oscar who has produced two Grade 1 winners n two days.

Following on from Big Zeb's success in the paddypower dial-a-bet Chase at Leopardstown on Saturday, Casey Jones stepped up to the mark on Sunday to register his firstgraded success over fences. He was something of a surprise winner beating the favourite Trafford Lad in the Knight Frank Novice Chase at Leopardstown.

Casey Jones is out of the unraced Over The River mare Aborfield Lady and is a half-brother to two two-time winners over fences. Aborfield Lady also has a four-year-old filly by Bobs Return, and two-year-old and a yearling sister to Casey Jones.

Aborfield Lady is a half-sister to the dam of Master Ofthe Chase, a Grade 3 winner over fences, and Badgerlaw who finished second in the Midlands National.

Oscar currently lies in fourth place by prize-money earned for the 2008-09 season behind Presenting, Old Vic and Flemensfirth.

Lexus Chase (Grade 1)
, 3m, 5yo+
Exotic Dancer (Turgeon - Northine (Northern Treat))

The big chase of the day was won by Exotic Dancer whose connections had diverted from a clash with Kauto Star at Kempton to run in the Lexus.  Left in the lead after Neptune Collonges fell three out, he came home the untroubled winner under the champion jockey AP McCoy.

He is by the French sire Turgeon, champion jumps sire in 2006 who stands at Haras du Mesnil alongside Kaldounevees and Ange Gabriel. His fee for 2009 will be €5,000.  He is currently just inside the top 20 jumps sires in France.

Exotic Dancer's dam Northine is the dam of seven winners from nine foals, including the Listed chase winner Pasquane and the Listed hurdles winner Don Lauresse. Both are by Don Pasquini.

She has an unraced three-year-old colt by Arvico called Exotic Man and a Pistolet Bleu 2001 colt called Cebonne who has run twice but is yet to be placed. Exotic Man cost Bertrand Le Metayer €180,000 at the Arqana July sale in 2007.
