Trade Fair sires first winner in Australia

TRADE Fair was represented by his first southern hemisphere winner on Saturday when his two-year old daughter Absolute Pleasurewon the BMW Lifestyle Plate over 5 1/2f on her career debut at Ascot, Western Australia.

"She has always shown above average ability and she certainly has a lot of class!" trainer Trevor Andrews told Perth Racing.

A $70,000 purchase from the Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale, Absolute Pleasure is out of the Octagonal mare Magic Puff, a half-sister the multiple Group 1-placed Gallant Tess.

Trade Fair's first northern hemisphere crop produced 12 winners in Europe as well as the promising Fair Trade, who ran second at Newmarket on his only start.

The Group 1-placed son of Zafonic returns next week to his northern hemisphere base at Tweenhills Farm, where he stands for£3,000. He stands the southern hemisphere season at Evergreen Lodge in West Australia for A$7,150 (£4,024/€4,543).
