The filly is trained by Tom Dascombe for the Whipper Partnership.

The daughter of Whipper was bred by Eugene McDermott out of the winning Vettori mare Bahamamia, making her a half-sister to Marine Boy, who was also trained by Dascombe to win impressively on his debut.

Switcher's half-sister Jeanie Johnston won a juvenile maiden at Haydock on her second start and went on to run second in the Listed Empress Stakes.

Switcher was sold by Kennycourt Stud to Kern Lillingtson for £32,000 at the DBS Premier yearling sale.
