Peppers Pride: the daughter of Desert God aborted her first foal

AP Indy date for record breaker Peppers Pride

PEPPERS PRIDE, the mare who holds the modern day American record for consecutive wins, is set to be covered by dual North American champion sire AP Indy this spring.

The seven-year-old daughter of Fappiano stallion Desert God is boarded for her owner Joe Allen at Nathan Fox's Richland Hills Farm in Kentucky.

She aborted what would have been her first foal, the result of a cover by Tiznow, last autumn. She is reported to be in good health.

Peppers Pride, who was also bred by Allen out of the Chili Pepper Pie mare Lady Pepper, was unbeaten in 19 races for earnings in excess of $1 million.

Allen has already tasted success by breeding a granddaughter of Fappiano to AP Indy, with Teammate, who is out of theRubiano mare Starry Dreamer and carried her breeder's colours to victory in two Grade 2 races in 2006 and 2007.
