Tin Horse to stand at Haras de Grandcamp

LAST year's Poule d'Essai des Poulains winner Tin Horse has arrived at Eric Lhermite's Haras de Grandcamp in advance of beginning his stud career there next year.

A grey son of Sakhee - whose son Sakhee's Secret is leading first-season sire in Europe by number of winners - Tin Horse was trained by Didier Guillemin for owner-breeder the Marquesa de Moratalla.

After easily winning his first two starts at two, Tin Horse finished second to Dream Ahead in the Prix Morny and to Wootton Bassett in the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere.

At three he had the likes of Barocci, Havane Smoker and Wootton Bassett behind when he won the Poule d'Essai des Poulains.

Although that proved to be Tin Horse's sole success that season, he came back at four this year to win the Group 3 Prix Messidor.

Tin Horse, who is out of the Group 3-winning Kendor mare Joyeuse Entree, will stand alongside Evasive and Vision D'Etat at a fee that will be decided later.
