Three Chimneys raise Point Given stud fee

THREE Chimneys in Kentucky has raised 2001 US horse of the year Point GIven's stud fee from $7,500 to $20,000 next year.

The move comes after a private investor has committed 25 top mares to the stallion, who was represented this year by Grade 1 Haskell Invitational winner Coil.

The fee for Dynaformer, sire of this year's dual Classic-winning filly Blue Bunting, remains unchanged at $150,000.

Three Chimneys is reducing the fees for four sires next year: Big Brown ($40,000 to $35,000), Flower Alley ($10,000 to $7,500), Lewis Michael ($5,000 to $3,000) and War Chant ($12,500 to $10,000).

Stallions whose fees will be the same as in 2011 are Exchange Rate ($25,000), Red Giant ($6,000), Sky Mesa ($30,000) and Yes It's True ($15,000).
