Aiteen Thirtythree has top jumping influences
CONVINCING Newbury winner Aiteen Thirtythree has justified his part-owner Paul Barber's decision to retain the seven-year-old after he was offered as part of the dispersal of horses previous owned in partnership with Harry Findlay's mother Margaret.
Aiteen Thirtythree was bought for £90,000 by his trainer Paul Nicholls at last year's Doncaster August National Hunt sale and now races for Barber and another of Nichols' main patrons, the Stewart family.
He has classic jumps breeding being by Old Vic out of a Supreme Leader mare. His half-brother Forest Pennant was trained by Nicholls to win a valuable handicap on Grand National day in 2008.
Third dam Rising View shares the same position in the pedigree of another talented son of Old Vic, Our Vic.
