Presenting colt from Goldford Stud leads way

A PRESENTING colt from Goldford Stud become the most expensive foal sold so far today when he came to Richard Haggas at €55,000 after he had seen off a host of interested parties.

His purchase is the first foal out of the smart mare Theatre Girl who was Listed-placed inbumpers and also reached the frame at Grade 2 level over hurdles.

Just prior to this John O'Byrne made his biggest purchase of the day when he went to €46,000 for a Presenting colt who also hailed from Goldford Stud, who consigned him on behalf of Patrick Burling Developments. The colt is the third foal out of the Grade 1-winning French hurdler Polivalente.
