Yoshida back in action with $540,000 purchase
HAVING spent $1.4 million on Monday's sale topper Ave, Teruya Yoshida's Shadai Farm went to $540,000 for multiple graded stakes winner Secret Gypsy. Both mares have been retired and will be sent to Japan.
A sixyear-old Sea of Secrets mare, Secret Gypsy was offered as a broodmare prospect by Eaton Sales, agent.
“I thought she sold very well,” said Eaton's Reiley McDonald. “She’s an absolutely gorgeous mare. I think those fellows got a great buy. I am sorry to see so many good fillies leaving the country, butit’s nice to have a good sale.”
