Sister to Teofilo wins on debut at Leopardstown

A THREE-YEAR-OLD sister to champion juvenile and promising first-season sire Teofilo, Teo's Sister, made a winning debut at Leopardstown on Thursday in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden.

Like Teofilo, she is bred, owned and trained by Jim Bolger. Their dam, Speirbhean by Danehill, has had three previous runners by Galileo, including Senora Galilei, a 1m2f handicap winner at three, and Slaney Wave, who was placed over 1m4f.

Teo's Sister holds some eyectaching entries: she is in the Give Thanks and Ballyroan Stakes, both Group 3s, the Group 2 Royal Whip and the Matron Stakes at the top level.

Speirbhean is by Danehill and raced four times, breaking her maiden in the Derrinstown Stud 1,000 Guineas Trial.
