Teofilo pair command top prices


A QUICKFIRE DOUBLE of Teofilo foals shot to the top of trading on day two at Tattersalls December Foal Sale. The first of the two was the filly out of the French Listed winner Anbella. The mare has producedtwo foals of racing age and they have both won a race, and she is also a half-sister to the Group 1 winners Satwa Queen and Spadoun. The foal was consigned by Stowell Hill Stud on behalf of Simon Tindall, and was bought by the Shadwell Estate Company for 150,000gns.

From Trickledown Stud came a Teofilo colt out of the Hector Protector mare Triton Dance, whose only foal to race is Count John who was third in the Group 3 Tetrarch Stakes at the Curragh. Triton Dance is a half-sister to Cherry Hinton Stakes winner Jewel In The Sand and to a Listed winner in Germany. Blandford Bloodstock came out on top in the bidding for this lot when the hammer fell at 165,000gns.
