Diamond Laura (nearside): sold for £21,000 at Meydan racecourse

BLUE KSAR, a multiple winner for his former owners Godolphin, topped today's Emirates Racing Authority horses in training sale at Meydan racecourse.
The seven-year-old son of Anabaa isa half-brother to Prix du Jockey Club winner Blue Canari and also finished third in the Group 2 Celebration Mile in 2007. Erwan Charpy trained him to finish third in the Group 2 Al Fahidi Fort at the Dubai Carnival last year.
Bahrain-based Abdulla Ali Ahmed Mohamed purchased Blue Ksar for AED170,000 (£31,000, €34,000).
Five-year-old Tawaash, formerly a smart handicapper for Michael Jarvis, commanded the second highest price, AED155,000 (£28,200, €31,000), when knocked down to Dubaian Hassan Ali Seirafi.
Diamond Laura, who made 12 starts last year at two in Britain, winning four of them, was sold to Mohammed Abdullah al Sultan for AED115,000 (£21,000, €23,000).
All told, 66 horses were sold (80 per cent of those offered) for turnover of AED2,138,000 (£389,765, €427,167), at an average of AED32,394 (£5,905, €6,473).
