Tatts Ireland February off to a bright start

A WELL-RELATED yearling daughter of Flemensfirth got today's Tattersalls Ireland February National Hunt sale off to a bright start when she was knocked down to the BBA Ireland's Eamon Reilly at €26,000.

The very first lot into the ring, the Moorpark Stud offering hails from a family that has enjoyed notable success under both codes.

She is out of a winning own-sister to the ill-fated but top class Bula Hurdle hero Valiramix and their dam is a daughter of Jim Bolger's Yorkshire Oaks heroine Condessa.

Indications were that the granddaughter of Alleged, whose sire supplied Saturday's impressive Cleeve Hurdle scorer Tidal Bay, would be reoffered in due course.

The next lot into the ring was a well-bred son of Milan from Cleaboy Stud & Coppice Farm who was purchased by Grange Stud for €11,500. He is the third produce out of a Loup Solitaire sister to Paul Nicholls' dual Grade 2 scorer Vol Solitaire.
