One was a Croom House Stud-consigned son of Pivotal out of the unraced Sadler's Wells mare Brazilian Samba (lot 1001) and the other was ason of Intikhab from the immediate family of Listed National Stakes scorer Icesolator (lot 1106), sent up by Hillwood Stud.

Progeny of Motivator are proving popular, with the Royal Studs resident providing four of the top nine lots so far, including a great-grandson of Cheveley Park Stakes heroine Woodstream (lot 1004), who will alsorace for Sheikh Hamdan's Shadwell operation after being knocked down to Gold at 120,000gns.

Knockatrina House Stud's half-sister to this season's Irish 1,000 Guineas Again (1064) was sold to Dermot Farrington for 75,000gns.
