Native heads stellar
cast for Tatts HIT Sale

GROUP 1-winning sprinter Kingsgate Native is one of the headline acts of this year's renewal of the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale on October 24 - 27.

Tattersalls have catalogued 1,476 horses for the auction, down from 1,582 in 2010.

Kingsgate Native was purchased as a stallion prospect by Cheveley Park Stud following a productive career for John Best in which he won the Nunthorpe Stakes as a juvenile and Golden Jubilee Stakes at three. The son of Mujadil was retired to stud but failed to get any mares in foal and put back into training with Sir Michael Stoute. He has since won the Temple Stakes and King George Stakes. Now a six-year-old, the gelding heads to the sales as the winner of four races and over £650,000.

Other eye-catching entries include Clive Cox's tough Group 3 winner Beacon Lodge, recent Ripon Two-year-old Trophy winner Gerfalcon, this year's Golden Jubilee Stakes runner-up Monsieur Chevalier, Tattersalls Millions winner Tell Dad and Royal Lodge Stakes winner City Leader.

William Haggas has entered a trio of smart performers in the Group 3-winning sprinters Triple Aspect and High Standing and recent Listed winner Penitent whileJuddmonte's entry is led by Group 3 winner Rerouted, who has been employed on several occasions as a pacemaker for Frankel.

Sale graduates have enjoyed another strong year on the track worldwide, in particular in Australia where My Kingdom Of Fife won the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes five months after selling out of Freemason Lodge Stables to Kern/Lillingston Association for 60,000gns.

Other Group 1-winning graduates of the past two years include 2,000 Guineas hero Makfi and Robert Cowell's King's Stand Stakes winner Prohibit.
