Tatts July Sale available on Equineline App

THE catalogue for the upcoming Tattersalls July Sale on July 6-8 is now available on the newly developed ‘Equineline Sales Catalog' App.

The app, which was launched recently The Jockey Club Information Systems Inc., is available from the App Store on the iPad or via iTunes on the web. The partnership between The Jockey Club and Weatherbys means that all Tattersalls catalogues can be viewed on the iPad within the App.

The App allows potential buyers to do everything they would normally do with a pen and printed catalogue; catalogues can be easily searched, sorted and marked up while users can create short lists and view mini catalogues, record conformation notes and veterinary information in custom formats and hand write annotations with easy-to-use touch selections.

The App alsoallows them to assign ratings, highlight catalogue pages with colour selections, add moveable sticky notes and directly email pages with annotations and comments.

"Weatherbys is excited to partner with TJCIS to make European sales catalogues available on the Equineline Sales Catalog app," said Nick Craven, commercial director of Weatherbys.

"Weatherbys researches the pedigrees for nearly all the major European sales companies and having major European sales available on the same app as North American sales provides a comprehensive service to an international marketplace. The iPad app will revolutionise the way sales pages are viewed and will be a huge benefit to many people in the bloodstock world."

Tattersalls Marketing Manager Jason Singh commented: "Smart phones and tablet computers, notably the iPad, are becoming increasingly common place within the bloodstock community, especially with agents and buyers who are awayfor long periods, and Tattersalls has made an effort recently to make sure that all the required information from Tattersalls is easily accessible whilst on the move via the Tattersalls App.

"As the technology matures, it makes perfect sense that sales catalogues should be available with sufficient functionality so that they can be used as a viable alternative to the printed catalogue. With the TJCIS App and help from Weatherbys that
day seems to be here sooner than many expected and we hope it will prove both popular and successful here at Tattersalls."
