Supreme investment presents fine return

THE first notable purchase in today's fourth session of the Tattersalls Ireland November National Hunt Sale came when Mags and James Melody spent €46,000 on a daughter of Presenting and Supreme Serenade who was offered by the Jamestown Consignment on behalf of Slaney River Stud.

At the mares section of this sale last year, Supreme Serenade made €85,000 when carrying the filly foal and she was providing her connections with a fine return on their initial investment.

A Grade 3 winner over hurdles, Supreme Serenade is a half-sister to the talented dual Grade 2-winner Supreme Prince.
The previous lot into the ring was a well bred son of Flemensfirth from Norrismount Stud who cost Fiona Magee €30,000. The colt is the fourth foal out of a placed daughterof Villez who is an own-sister to Arkle and Champion Chase hero Voy Por Ustedes.

The grandson of Alleged will be reoffered at the Derby Sale in several years’ time.
