Diamond Green colt sells to John Weld

AFTER the first dozen lots to have come under the hammer at Tattersalls Ireland's breeze-up sale half had been sold. Heading the opening exchanges was a daughter of Diamond Green from Windmill Stables who cost John Weld €12,000.

She is a half-sister to a winner out of a Persian Bold half-sister to the dam of the useful dual purpose performer Blue Corrig.

Following this one into the ring was a son of Refuse To Bend for whom leading National Hunt trainer Noel Meade gave €10,500. The grandson of the late Sadler's Wells is out of a half-sister to the high-class dual purpose runner Sadlers Wings.
