Bumper Tatts Ireland August catalogue online

A BUMPER 873lots have been catalogued to the Tattersalls Ireland August Sale, which will take place on August 9 - 11. The catalogue is 40 per cent larger than last year when 251 horses (52 per cent of those offered) sold for a total of €1,545,350 and average of €6,157.

All three and four-year-olds catalogued to the sale are eligible to run in the valuable €100,000 Tattersalls Ireland Sales Bumper at the Fairyhouse Racecourse Easter Festival next year. In addition, all three and four-year-old fillies are eligible for the three-race ITBA National Hunt fillies' scheme.

Leading sires, such as Accordion, Beneficial, Brian Boru, Flemensfirth, Kayf Tara, King's Theatre, Milan, Old Vic,Oscar, Presenting and Westerner, will have progeny on offer while there are a number of entries who were originally catalogued to sell in the Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale.

Past graduates of the sale include last season's dual Grade 1-winning novice hurdler Oscars Well, who was sold by Galbertstown Stud to J. Linehan for €8,000 in 2008.
