Mill House toasts
good day's trading

A BROTHER to Aidan O'Brien's triple winner Johann Zoffany was one of the early six-figure lots to pass through the ringon day two of the Tattersalls December Foal Sale when selling for 130,000gns to Blandford Bloodstock.

Bred by Mary O'Sullivan at Howard Barton Stud in Devon, the colt is out of Belle Allemande, a half-sister to German 1,000 Guineas winner Que Belle. O'Sullivan owns a band of four mares, and sells all of her stock through Juliet Minton.

"He was an outstanding colt with loads of bone and a good goer," said Minton.

"We have had more shows this years than ever before - the Galileo and the Acclamation have been shown about 85 times in the two days."

The Acclamation was lot 735, the first foal from Minton's own mare Mystery Ocean, who ran third in the ListedMasaka Stakes. Catridge Farm Stud won the bidding for the filly, going to 74,000gns which was a "great result" for Minton.
