Swettenham Stud sets
Equiano fee at A$13,000

NEWSELLS Park Stud shuttler Equiano headsa seven-strong roster at Swettenham Stud in Victoria, Australia, for the upcoming southern hemisphere season.

Swettenham have set an early-bird fee of A$13,000 (£8,195/€10,164) for the Group 1-winning sprinter, which is a slight reduction on the early-bird figure of A$15,000 he commanded last year. Equiano stands the northern hemisphere season for £8,000 at Newsells Park Stud.

Newcomer Master Of Design, a son of Redoute's Choice who wonthe Group 1 T J Smith Stakes, will stand for A$12,500.

''Redoute's Choice has established himself as a great sire of sires and we have been looking to stand one of his sons at Swettenham for some time now,'' said Adam Sangster, owner of Swettenham Stud, of the decision to secure Master Of Design.

''Master Of Design has got the conformation you would expect in a A$2.10 million yearling, he's from a family of successful stallions and, of course, he has proven himselfin the highest level of racing as a Group 1 winner.''
