LEADING British-based jumps sire Kayf Tara was represented by his second Graded jumps winner of the season on Sunday when Rathlin completed the hat-trick in the Nas Na Riogh Chase for Gigginstown HouseStud and Mouse Morris.

The seven-year-old gelding shares his sire, Godolphin's 1998 and 2000 Ascot Gold Cup winner, with this season's Hennessy Gold Cup hero Carruthers and the 2010 Punchestown Gold Cup winner Planet Of Sound.


Kayf Tara stands at Overbury Stud for £4,000.

Rathlin has been popular on each of his three trips through the ring, selling for £26,000 to W. Dennison at the 2007 DBS May Sale, €68,000 to Willie Mullins and Harold Kirk at the 2008 Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale and £85,000 to Mags O'Toole at the 2009 Brightwells Cheltenham April Sale.

He is the only winner from three runners out of bumper scorer Princess Timon. The daughter of Terimon has a yearling sister to the winner. Novice Hurdle (Grade 2), 2m, 4yo+

FELIX YONGER (6 g Oscar - Marble Sound)

OSCAR added a 22nd Graded jumps winner to his extensive resume with the victory of Felix Yonger over his paternal half-sister Dressedtothenines in this event.

His victory capped an excellent day for Oscar, who was also represented by the first two winners on the Fontwell card.

Oscar, a son of Sadler's Wells who is best known as the sire of Big Zeb, Black Jack Ketchum and Peddlers Cross, stands under the Coolmore jumps banner for €5,000 at Grange Stud.

Felix Yonger is one of two winners out of the unplaced Marble Sound following My Valley (by Saddlers' Hall), who ran second in the 2007 EBF Scarvagh House Stud Novice Hurdle. Further back, it is the family of talented hurdler Strawberry.

Marble Sound has a yearling filly by Fruits Of Love. Chase (Grade 2), 2m, 5yo+

SEABASS (9 g Turtle Island - Muscovy Dock)

SEABASS maintained his winning run under Ruby Walsh ingutsy style to account for Zaarito and set himself up for a possible crack at the Grand National via the Cheltenham Festival.

One of the best jumpers sired by the 1994 Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Turtle Island, who now stands in Sicily following a lengthy stint at Coolmore as a Flat and then jumps stallion, Seabass is the only winner from five runners out of the winning Moscow Society mare Muscovy Duck.
