MORE JOYOUS (More Than Ready - Sunday Joy by Sunday Silence)

Breeder: Strawberry Hill Stud

STRAWBERRY HILL STUD celebrated More Joyous's fifth top-level win on Saturday when the daughter of Vinery shuttler More Than Ready landed the Inglis-sponsored Queen Of The Turf Stakes at Rosehill. She is owned by the Strawberry Hill Stud Syndicate.

The New Zealand-bred four-year-old filly has an illustrious pairing as damsire and second-damsire. She is out of Sunday Joy, an Australian-bred son of Japanese super stallion Sunday Silence and her maternal granddam is by Danehill, whose influence is arguably even more dominant in Australasia as in Europe.

More Than Ready has also been a resounding success in Australia. He recently became the first stallion to be leading sire of juveniles in two countries - Australia and the US - in the same year. All five of his Group 1 winners have raced in Australia. They are: Benicio, Carry On Cutie, More Joyous, Perfectly Ready and Sebring.
