Storm Cat stallion Grand Reward sold to Argentina

GRADE 2 winner Grand Reward, whowas trained by Aidan O'Brien to run placed in the 2003 Mill Reef and Gimcrack Stakes, has been sold to stand at Haras le Quebrada in Argentina.

The son of Storm Cat, a brother to Coronation Stakes heroine Sophisticat and out of US champion Serena's Song, has shuttled to Quebrada for the past five seasons. He is currently standing for $4,000 at Ghost Ridge Farms in Pennsylvania, an operation he joined late last year following five seasons at Hill 'n' Dale Farm in Kentucky.

While Grade 3 winner Grand Rapport is his best performer from three American crops of racing age, Grand Reward has enjoyed plenty of success in South America, where he is the sire of five stakes winners including Angliolo, who was successful in a Group 1 at Palermo in March.

Quebrada is also home to prominent Kentucky stallions El Corredor, Indygo Shiner and Mutakddim.
