Stonewall juveniles added to OBS June Sale

THE OBS June Sale has received a timely boost with the addition of 34 horses including 25 consigned by Leprechaun Racing on behalf of the troubled Stonewall Stallions.

Fifth Third Band recently announced that they were launching legal action against the Kentucky-based farm, owned by Audrey Haisfield and once the home of Medaglia d'Oro, and related entities for failure to repay $14.8 million in loans.

On May 26, 134 horses under full or part Stonewall ownership were placed under receivership by order of a Fayette Kentucky Circuit Judge. Bluewater Sales was appointed as receiver under an agreement between Fifth Third Bank and Stonewall Stallions and related entities.

Included in Stonewall's draft is a Theatrical colt out of stakes winner Queens Plaza, a Leroidesanimaux filly out of Italian Group 3 winner Miss Nashwan and a Medaglia d'Oro filly out of Grade 1 CCA Oaks heroine Jostle.

The supplementary lots will be sold at the end of the original session on June 15, which contains 386 juveniles. They will breeze at the second under tack show session on June 13.
