Johannesburg filly wins Prix Miesque
STEFER, a daughter of Johannesburg, won the Group 3 Prix Miesque for juvenile fillies at Maisons-Laffitte on Tuesday.
Bred by Franck Benillouche and Woodside Farms, Stefer is trained by David Smaga and owned by Wafic Said. On her most recent start before the Prix Miesque, she broke her maiden at the third time of asking.
She was recorded as not sold at both the Keeneland November breeding stock sale as a foal and at the Arqaana August yearling sale.
Stefer is out of the once-raced, unplaced El Prado mare Ardere, a daughter of US Grade 3 winner Flaming Torch.
