A REVIEW of the A$33,000 (£19,624/€23,479) fee set for Starspangledbanner during his first season at Coolmore's Hunter Valley base in Australia will be reportedly put on hold until the colt makes his next appearance in the July Cup next month at Newmarket.

Starspangledbanner, the emphatic winner of Saturday's Golden Jubilee Stakes, is likely to join his sire, Choisir, on Coolmore's Australian roster for the southern hemisphere season later this year.

As it stands, his participation in the July Cup on July 9 would not prevent him from fulfilling quarantine regulations in time for the start of the Australian breeding season.

A decision as to whether Starspangledbanner or Choisir, who also sired Saturday's Wokingham Handicap winner Laddies Poker Two, will shuttle to Ireland next year will also be made at a later date.

Choisir stood six seasons in Ireland but remained in Australia this year, where he is set to cover at a fee of A$35,750 (£21,256/€25,435).
