Arctic Cosmos to stud

ST Leger winner Arctic Cosmos has been retired to stand at James and Marian Hannon's The Old Road Stud in County Waterford. His fee has been set at €1,500.

John Gosden trained the son of North Light to win four races headed by the 2010 St Leger, in which he defeated Snow Fairy and Rewilding. He was also the six-length winner of the Magnolia Stakes over 1m2f earlier this year and ran second in the 2010 King Edward VII Stakes.

The best son of Derby winner North Light, who now stands in Canada, Arctic Cosmos is out of Fifth Avenue Doll, a ten-time winning daughter of Marquetry.

Arctic Cosmos will stand alongside Witness Box and Cloudings at The Old Road Stud.
