Sprinter Hinchinbrook's fee set at Aus$16,500

HINCHINBROOK, the son of Fastnet Rock who missed his intended start in Saturday's Group 1 Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot due to injury, is to stand at Yarraman Park Stud this season for a fee of Aus$16,500 (£10,742/€12,205). Hinchinbrook was foaled and raised at the stud for owner/breeder Francois Naude.

A  half-brother to Group 1 winning stallion
Snitzel (by Redoutes Choice), Hinchinbrook was Group 1 placed over five-and-a-half furlongs to seven.

“It’s very disappointing for him to travel all that way and get so close, but these things happen and as much as it’s a tragedy
that he will not get the opportunity to win over there, he’s still an outstanding stallion prospect with a long stud career ahead of him,” said Yarraman director Arthur Mitchell.

“He’s a lovely horse with a superb pedigree and we are genuinely  thrilled to have him coming back to the farm. (His dam) Snippets’ Lass was a remarkable producer and we always suspected she may have saved the best for last in Hinchinbrook.
