Invincible Spirit on mark as Grade 1 jumps sire

INVINCIBLE SPIRIT was a top-class sprinter whose victories include the Haydock Sprint Cup but, thanksto stamina influences in his pedigree, he has been able to sire high-class horses who stay far further than he did himself.

The son of Green Desert and Prix de Diane winner Rafha is sire of sharp and speedy sorts such as Fleeting Spirit, Hooray and Zebedee, but also Classic horses including Prix Jean Prat and Prix du Jockey Club hero Lawman, and middle-distance aces including Grand Prix de Chantilly winner Allied Powers.

Spirit Of Adjisa was co-bred by the late former Taoiseach Charles Haughey and his daughter, Goffs chairman Eimear Mulhern.

He is outof the unraced Aga Khan-bred Doyoun mare Adjisa, a half-sister to Adjareli, runner-up to Spectrum in the 1995 Irish 2,000 Guineas.

Adjisa's other progeny include Princess Nala, a daughter of In The Wings who won the Listed Lenebane Stakes over 1m4f at Roscommon.
