Pasternak transferred to Batsford Stud

PASTERNAK, winner of the 1997 Cambridgeshire Handicap, will stand next year at the Batsford Stud in Gloucestershire following the sale of his previous base at Larkinglass Farm in Dorset.

His best racecourse representative is Little Josh, who gained his seventh success when forcing a dead-heat with the useful Weird Al in a thrilling finish to an intermediate chase at Carlisle on Sunday.

Pasternak, a 17-year-old son of Soviet Star and Irish Oaks winner Princess Pati, will stand alongside Kadastrof in 2011 at a fee of £1,250 (October 1 terms).

Kadastrof will command the same fee but with a filly foal-free return offer.
