Elite Racing Club racing and breeding manager Matthew Budden said the colt, who is by Oasis Dream, enjoyed the wintry weather.

"The pair had a really good time. Everything is a new experience for him, and hopefully it's given him something to think about," he said.

"We're delighted with the way he is progressing – he is in very good health. And Soviet Song is proving a very good mother – she's a natural!"

A Group 1 winner on five occasions, Soviet Song was retired to stud in 2007 but failed to get in foal that season. She is due to be covered by Raven's Pass this year.
