Bear's Affair, trained by Nicky Henderson, made a winning debut in a Uttoxeter bumper in October and made it two out of two by tracking the leaders and making smooth headway to win by three and a half lengths.

The five-year-old gelding was bred by Tim Whitley, owner of classy chaser Gales Cavalier.

He is out of the Green Shoon mare Gladtogetit, whose previous progeny include multiple jumps winners Bally Conn, Free Gift, Little Brown Bear and Swincombe. The dam carried Whitley's silks to win four races under Rules.

Bear's Affair was sold by Ballincurrig House Stud to his present owners for €67,000 at the 2009 Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale.

Presenting, a son of Mtoto who stands at Glenview Stud for €12,000 in 2011, is sire of jumps stars including Denman, Dunguib, War Of Attrition and Weapon's Amnesty.
