South African Group 1 winner for Anabaa

ANABAA sired the 11th Group/Grade 1 winner of his stud career on Saturday when Le Drakkar was successful in the Bloodstock South Africa Cape Guineas at Kenilworth.
Le Drakkar's victory means that the Haras du Quesnay resident has now sired Group/Grade 1 winners in five different countries.

Anabaa has had his fee raised to €30,000 for next seasonin light of an extremely successful season highlighted by the Breeders' Cup Mile heroine Goldikova and Classic hopeful Arazan.

His Prix du Jockey-Club-winning son Anabaa Blue also enjoyed a notable season as the sire of Arlington Million hero Spirit One, who will enter stud next year at Haras de Lonray.

Bred by Mrs. J Hurst in Australia and purchased for A$155,000 at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale by Form Bloodstock, Le Drakkar is out of the Listed winner My Mo Rally, a New Zealand-bred daughter of Mi Preferido.

My Mo Rally is a half-sister to Listed winner Global Win and out of Greymouth Cup heroine Tri Lyric, a daughter of Three Legs from the family of Group 1 winner and sire Herocity.
