Fuisse's Moulin victory a tribute to Quesnay

THE victory of Fuisse in Sunday's Prix du Moulin de Longchamp paid yet another tribute to Alec Head and his family's ongoing success as breeders.

Alec Head's association with Fuisse extends to the colt's fifth dam, Melopee. More recently, it is a family that has found its niche over jumpswith Fuisse's dam, Funny Feerie, and her half-brother, Spanish Wells, each securing Listed victories over hurdles.

Now 15-years-old, Funny Feerie has found her worth as a Flat broodmare within the Quesnay band as the dam of Criterium de Saint-Cloud winner Full Of Gold as well as Fuisse.

Full Of Gold stood his first season at stud this year under Quesnay ownership at Haras de l'Abbaye whileQuesnay was also once home to Funny Feerie's sire, Sillery.

Fuisse is the second Group 1 winner by 1994 Poule d'Essai des Poulains winner Green Tune following Lune d'Or.
