Stacelita wins at Arlington -Beverly D

Racemare Stacelita has been bought in a private deal by Teruya Yoshida



Six-time G1 winner Stacelita sold to Yoshida

THE six-time Group and Grade 1 winner Stacelita (Monsun), 10th in the Breeders'  Cup Filly & Mare Turf on Friday, has been bought in a private deal by Teruya Yoshida.

She has been retired to stud and will eventually be sent to Japan - currently she is receiving treatment at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital on her left eye,  injured in the Flower Bowl Stakes by a clod of grass and which subsequently ulcerated.

Formerly owned by Martin Schwartz, Stacelita was trained in France by Jean-Claude Rouget for whom she won foru Group 1 races: the Prix Saint-Alary, the Prix de Diane, the Prix Vermeille and the Prix Jean Romanet.

She transferred to the US and into training with Chad Brown this spring, recording wins in the Grade 1 Beverly D. S. at Arlington and the Grade 1 Flower Bowl Invitational Stakes at Belmont

Aheaad of the Breeders' Cup meeting, Yoshida also purchased a controlling interest in the Prix Marcel Boussac winner  Elusive Kate (Elusive Quality) prior to her eighth-place finish in the  Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies' Turf.
