J Be K transferred to Vinery Florida

GRADE 2 winner J Be K has been moved from Gainesway in Lexington, Kentucky, to Vinery in Summerfield, Florida, for the forthcoming 2010 breeding season.

The five-year-old son of Silver Deputy had been advertised at Gainesway at a fee of $6,500 this year, but will now carry out stud duties at $3,000.

Trained by Steve Asmussen for Zayat Stables, J Be K won the Grade 2 Woody Stephens Stakes by five and a half lengths at three, along with a brace of Grade 3 races, before retiring to Gainesway last year.

Vinery president Tom Ludt said: "We're happy to have J Be K at Vinery. This horse had a lot of talent, and he's from a sire line known for speed. I think he will appeal to Florida breeders."
