Mare in foal to Sea The Stars in Tatts dispersal

A MARE in foal to Sea The Stars will be among the horses dispersed by Breeding Capital at this year's Tattersalls December Sale.

Silent Heir and her winning daughter, Quiet Oasis, are scheduled to sell through Watership Down Stud on behalf of Breeding Capital IV, the tax-efficient bloodstock investment fund run by Simon Marsh, William Sporborg and Christopher Holdsworth Hunt.

The pair belongs to the 2008 portfolio of investors, a syndicate which is being wound up at the end of the year.

Sea The Stars: covering sire

Silent Heir is a rare commodity as a European-based daughter of Sunday Silence and the only daughter of the great Japanese sire in foal to Sea The Stars.

She has already made a fine start at stud as the dam of Prix La Rochette winner Young Pretender.

His two-year-old sister, Quiet Oasis, broke her maiden on her second start in good style on Friday at Kempton when successful in a fillies conditions race over 7f.

She is likely to make her next start for Brian Meehan in the Listed Oh So Sharp Stakes at Newmarket before taking up her engagement at Tattersalls.

Silent Heir also has a yearling filly by Danehill Dancer, who is catalogued as lot 596 in Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Sale.
