Shantou gelding leads early exchanges at Goffs

WITH just 70 lots through the ring in the first session of the Goffs Land Rover Sale so far, one horse has already made a figure only €7,000 short of last year's €92,000 top price for the whole sale.

The next-highest price seen in the Goffs sale ring so far today is €40,000, which was paid by Aiden Murphy for a three-year-old Flemensfirth gelding from thefamily of Mysilv, consigned by Summerhill.
