Grand Prix Boss: son of Sakura Bakushin O won the NHK Mile Cup

SAKURA BAKUSHIN O, a good source of two-year-old and sprinter/miler talent in Japan, died late last month aged 22.
The son of Sakura Yutaka O won consecutive renewals of the Grade 1 Sprinters Stakes in 1993 and 1994.
Standing at the Shadai Stallion Station on the island of Hokkaido, Sakura Bakushin O's best representative is last year's champion Japanese juvenile colt Grand Prix Boss, also winner of Sunday's NHK Mile Cup.
He is also sire of Grade 1 Takamatsunomiya Kinen winner Shonan Kampf, Grade 2 Centaur Stakes and CBC Sho winner She Is Tosho and two more winners of the Centaur Stakes - Dasher Go Go and Kanoya Zakura.
Sakura Bakushin O was out of the Northern Taste mare Sakuro Hagoromo, a half-sister to Japanese Grade 1 winner Amber Shadai.
