Second winner for Antonius Pius

COOLMORE shuttler Antonius Pius, whose first northern hemisphere crop are two-year-olds, was represented by his second winner from hisfirst southern hemisphere crop today.

The Neil Godbolt-trained gelding Gorborsaan brought up the double for his sire when he won a 5f race at Port Macquarie by three lengths.

Gorborsaan is out of the Night Shift mare Lady Of Laredo, and was retained by his breeder when offered at the 2008 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.

By Danzig and out of the Yorkshire Oaks heroine Catchascatchcan, Antonius Pius won the Railway Stakes (Gr2) at two and twice finished placed in Group 1 races at three.

At Coolmore Australia in New South Wales he stands at a fee of A$8,800, and for the forthcoming northern hemisphere breeding season he will stand at €7,000.
